if you mod any phone weather it is motorola, sony ericson, lg, anything it voids the warenty.

Its no different then modding a amp, it voids warenty. or evening opening up a amp which voids manufactures warrenty

Warentys are there to not only protect the consumer from getting damaged goods, but also protecting the company.

Anyways I am not here to fight. But personally if you can wait.. check out the Tmobile android. It is programmed by google, designed by htc. An it has flash memory and the biggest minisd card you can get is a 16gb. So they consider it a iphone killer.
