I finally got the Chevy running. So far I've replaced the battery, starter, spark plugs and wires, fuel pump and filter, distributor cap and rotor, and changed all the fluids. Well today I took it for a test drive and it is running horrible. You have to floor it to accerlate and even then it takes about a minute to get to 30 MPH and it's stalling out if i don't give it gas for a while. Could my timing be off? If this is the problem I have no way of getting it to a shop so what can I do?

Buddies '72 chevy pick up did the same thing after a re-build and it was the timing.

Yeah I had a strong feeling thats what it was but I was kinda hoping it could be something else. I don't have a trailer big enough to tow it to a shop so I have no idea what I'm going to do.

i'd check your firing order 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. make sure you have the wires on the cap right.
