How far apart do you cut the slits. I can kind of see it in the wood..looks to be about 3/8 - 1/2" apart? People don't use it for boxes because it flexes ..will it be the same scenario with the port. it wont hurt that much depending on application. i built a box for 2 fusion encounter series 12's out of 1/2 inch mdf. it flex like a bitch but it was for the wifeys car so i didnt care.
