Need Help With Amp Choice

Recommended Posts

I am needing some advice on a couple different amps. I can get either of the models pretty cheap, but I just dont know which way to go.

The amps are as follows:

MTX TC6001-http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/products/amplifiers/TC6001.cfm

MTX 6500D-http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=2680

The links are for refrence only.

I plan on using 1 12" JL audio w3 in a ported box.

No matter how hot she is, someone, somewhere, is sick of her shit.

99 Tahoe:

2-10" MA Audio

4-6.5" Kenwood door speakers

Total Amp

Sony HU

I added the links. Thanks Aaron. I'm leaning more toward the 6500D because I know those series of amps had good power. On the TC series, I can get both the mono amp and the 4ch amp pretty cheap also.

Maybe someone can give me some info on these amps. I cant find anything about them such as specs.

Memphis s500

Memphis h500

That W3...thermally can only handle 500 watts...

I would just use a JL 500/1 if you want to keep it all JL. Or use a RF T500-1BD.

I can't really comment on the site you're using.

But yeah if you have a weak electrical, i'd go with the JL cuz they do 500 watts from 11.5 volts till 14.5 volts.

Not looking for any other amps. The amps I listed are the ones I can buy dirt cheap. Also, the links are for refrence only. Thanks.

If you want that cheap of an amp why don't you go with BOSS audio or Kole audio.

Personally get an amp that will last and has all the features that you desire. Such as filters, class, etc.
