i just bought 6 12" subs one is making a grinding noise when pressed on i hooked it up to my battery its not blown just grinds

they and called dura brand they are a subsidiary of wal mart lol so i guess i get what i paid for but just wonderin if it could be fixed or do i just put up with the noise for a little while

I had that same problem a long time ago with some 8's i bought off a guy. thats one of the many issues with cheap speakers. in the rush to mass produce, the thing is 1 or both the metal plates that the magnet is in between isnt on straight or cut wrong causing the coil to rub ever so much. (nothing you can really do) since the baskets are usually stamped instead of bolted to the motor structure.

4 15" FI Q D2's in 12 cubes tuned to 32hz

3 Maxx 29 deep cycles

4 runs of 1/0 gauge

-Big 3

-Trunk sealed off from the cabin

Custom 15.8 dual-volt switching MLA module

i think i have one more of these at work i have them marked down to 25 dollars so im gonna trash the bad one and get the other one i only bought them to bump around with till i get some fi btl 18"s i wanna be like steve

we all start somewhere! id just take that sum bish back & exchange it though
