Amp Overheats

alright but wouldnt wiring it at 8 ohms cut the power to like half. and i was gonna get a 1000 watt mono autotek amp but the wire terminals are way to small.

well yea wiring it at 8ohms it will cut the power..so it will give half power to one woofer and half to the other...or you could just wire 1 woofer brigded to get all the maximum power out for just 1 woofer..

yea if i hav just 1 woofer it would be only 225rms/450 max but that is my small setup in a 2000 expedition. my daily driver is 2 MTX 8512 dual 4 with a MTX TA7801 and a power akoustik 2 farad with 2/0 power ground. not much but its sumthing. thx for the suggestions Noob and DUBIE

if i were you..you should listen to noobtastic...lol..ported box will increase more bass!..and you will get better results..trust me!and him^^^^^

if i were you i would remove the 2 farad capacitor and add an extra bettery!...way better than that 2farad...

well isnt a power cap to give more voltage and so the battery wont drain as quick?

to what hz???...whats the specs?

its 38 hz and the dimensions are 13 1/4" Height X 34" Width X 16 1/4" Depth made from 1/4 MDF

a cap is to maintain the voltage..it wont suck that much juice from the battery...and about the battery it aint gonna drain beacuse thats why you wire it to the front battery..(+)from front battery to (+)from back battery...and wire the ground from back battery to chassis...
