la negra Posted November 18, 2008 Report Share Posted November 18, 2008 im doing the big 3 on my 02 sierra next week. im just waiting on some battery clamps i ordered to arrive. heres a pic of my optima 34/78 kinetik 1800 i had a guy at my old job make me a battery tray and do a lil work on the top bracket to hold it down. this battery will be relocated to the inside of the truck. close to the t10001bd and my question is where do i ground the wire on the alternator ? i know the + goes over where u see that lil dinky 8mm fuseable wire is. lil_italy773 Posted November 19, 2008 Report Share Posted November 19, 2008 anywhere from the block to chassie will work for block ground. ac compressor bolt, alt mounting bracket bolt, or just a bolt that is easy to get to. dont make it real long from piont to piont tho. + on alt to batt poss then neg to direct frame.
