I'm glad it worked for you? How long did you let the iron heat up? Almost how long did you hold the tip of the iron on the wire? I asked because every iron is different. Since we have the same one, I figured you would be the best person to ask maybe 2 mins heat up time. I just put the iron in the middle of the wire then push solder at the tip where its sitting on thee wire. After that use the tip to move it around.
