teknikalitch Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 I currently have a Memphis PR15 on a Hifonics Brutus BXI2008D... now the amp... is turned way down. i had two of those subs and finally blew one of them up. sooo long story short i ditched the prefab fuck job and built my first box. its 5cubes tuned to about 31Hz. i dont know if you guys saw the mustang i did for the 16 year old girl with the 12 ssd and hifonics power. she got a new car. wants to buy my BTL for me to swap them out... being the nice guy i am i said SURE!! so im gonna get my BTL in a few weeks and slap all that amp on it... from what i read it should do about 1600 to 1700 rms at 1ohm right? i hope so... anyway just by building the new box i got louder with half the cone area and half the power. i was wondering what to expect with the new btl and everything that amp will give me... any insight would be greatly appreciated guys... thank you! pics of said box: 1992 Honda Accord LX Head Unit: Alpine X-001 Mids/Highs Front: Rockford Fosgate P1652-S Components Mids/Highs Rear: Rockford Fosgate P1653 3-Ways Mids/Highs Amp: Hifonics Zxi6410 Sub: Fi 15" BTL With HiXmCoil Option Sub Amp: Hifonics Bxi2008D Enclosure: 5.2Cubes Gross Tuned at 31Hz Wiring: One Run Of 0g Alternator: Load Boss 170amp

philip Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 should be all good. i had 5 cubes, 33 hertz, and 80" of port. did really well on a t20001bd. in the end, you might wanna get more power but you should be okay.
