dadillac27
The ribbon cable was gonna be like $40 but I found someone selling the same model on ebay for $40 w/out a face or any accessories. I bought that and put my face and trim ring on it. Now I have my old radio for spare parts. Neo_frog
My old Pioneer had the same problem actually.. Take a pencil eraser and clean the contacts on face and unit, then put it on and wiggle it. Could just be bad contacts. Especially if it's cold. If not, then might be internal. EDIT: That's what worked for mine anyways.. Edited December 26, 2008 by Neo_frog Quote Need an install? Hit me up.[email protected]Got car audio questions? dadillac27
Yeah its possible the contacts could be the problem but from what I read the ribbon cable is a common problem with these Pioneers. dadillac27
I just remembered that I could pull the face and mess with the ribbon cable and sometimes get it to come on. Thats how I figured out what the problem was.
