hawkins6423
So i got a set of CDT audio 6x9s with the EX-480 crossover and the DRT 26 titanium tweeters. I have the crossover set to 0db gain for tweeters and my EQ flat. I have a sundown 100.4 pushing these and a set of RF fanatics in the dash. The fanatics' tweeters can handle all of 100 sundown watts, but when i push the cdt at about 60w rms, the tweeters go in to protection mode I BELIEVE, i might be wrong though, but they just shut off after 60w. I'm positive the wiring is correct. SO, is there any quick solution to this? I was considering either going active and bandpassing the midranges and having a seperate amp to power the tweeters OR maybe a better crossover? Thanks for the help. Oh and a tip to ANYBODY: dont be lazy and use duct tape on your subwoofer wire to connect the bolt terminals, it will burn right through it!
