Fuse Holder/distribution/2nd Battery

alright well i have 1/0 wire that i will run from the battery up front the rear battery..

stock alt.

the amp i am going to be running is a RF T10001bd which will be pushing (2) 12'' RF dual 4 ohm subs.

what i was wondering is,,,

if i get a distribution box in the back that has fuses in it,do i still need to buy a fuse holder for the rear battery or will the dist. work?

also....

how big do the fuses have to be in the front and in the back if im going to run a T10001bd and another amp for my highs??

and also i was wondering where to get a distributor and a fuse holder/fuses that arnt expensive...

dude at the local shop charges 45 for the box and 45 for the fuse holder without a fuse...and 8$ per foot of 1/0...

any input would be appriciated as im new to car audio.

get this for front battery to rear battery http://www.darvex.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Sc...Product_Count=1 and a 250-300amp fuse

then get this from ur rear battery to amps http://www.darvex.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Sc...Product_Count=1 2 of them(you dont want a fused dist block cause all i think are made are 1/0 to 4guage and that amp needs atleast 0guage), and u can run what ever guage for mids n highs amp off that, and why i said 2 is so u can run another one for neg thats how i got mine

then run a wire from front battery to rear battery pos, take a pos run it to a dist block, then off to amps

then take a ground from rear battery(s) and run it to ground, and run another wire off rear battery and run to dist block so when u ground amps u can ground threw dist blocks and all grounding will go to one spot, and looks cleaner that way thats how mine is n hasn't let me down yet.

hope this answers ur question, oh type meade in for cupon to get i think 5-10% discount :) for darvex

to tell the truth i dont see why most ppl do put fuses in back cause ur front fuse(s) will fuse the wire from the end of fuse block to the rear batterys n if u put one in line in front of rear battery only part it would affect is the other end of the wire from the end to the battery so its not really practical unless ur goin from battery to battery in back with a good distance between the wires, i say no need in fuseing befor rear battery unless u dont want to, i dont have it done in mine cause there not enulf room between the wires to the dist block to fit a fuse block lol, anyways if u wanted to u can but i dont see how it would work, but thats imo

well im not sure either but its because i was told to put a fuse in the trunk to protect my amp...i guess if i have a power surge it will blow the fuse instead of my amp

i wasnt told weather to put the fuse before the rear batt or after the rear batt

but im guessing u wire from the front battery fuse to rear battery, then from the rear battery to the next fuse (16 inches away) then from that fuse to the distributor box followed by the amp...pleeeease correct me if im wrong lol
