Hey Guys Havent Posted In Awhile ... Need Some Help

so i plan on having the biggest kinetik batt i can fit up front an have a hc2400 in the back, for 1 fully loaded fi btl 18, i AM gonna get a better alt soon but im broke but i was readin a few threads an is it a MUST to charge your batts with a batt charger??? an do u onely have to charge batts IF u have a stock alt?? but if u have a ho alt u just let the alt do allll the work??and i was wondering if someone can TRY to explain how to watch your voltage?? ( i will buy a voltage meter), and i saw that some amps bass knobs have a clipping light on them to let u kno when ur amp is getting a clipped signal?? can i buy a replacement knob for mine so i can have a clip light?? or is the clip light just ANY bass knob with a lil light on it??

you dont HAVE to have a batt charger for your batts. unless your doing db drags or something like that. 60 amp alt or a 300 amp alt, it still charges your batts. one just charges them faster/slower. as far as the clipping bass knob????

dont clip your amp and you wont need one of those..............................if they even make them. stupid if you ask me.

and can u try an explain to an idiot (me) about voltage drop an how to watch for it and whats normal level??

Yes some songs clip, and by watching your voltage just keep an eye on the meter, and if it drops below 11 volts, cut the subs back, and if u set your amp correctly and dont try and get more bass by crankin the volume knob you wont really have to worry about clipping, and remember the gain setting on your amp is NOT a volume knob

You dont want you voltage to drop down below 12v. some where in the 11s is ok but still not what you want. Your system wil charge and idle at 14. something but when the bass hits it will drop down to the 12 mark if your electrical is set up right. BTW i uploaded the wrong vids. New ones are up now just go back to my photobucket.

exactley. Good battery supply for your amps with all 0 awg wiring and a good high out put alt will do you fine.

To get the best out of your batts charge them on a charger!! Many people BURN up HO alts because they think that they can run their batteries way down and then keep charging them back up with their alt. As far as clipping you have to set the gains properly on your amp. Sometimes I clip mine on purpose when I'm acting STOOOOPID but I know what I'm doing because I know my system.

Another thing too and I recommend this for everyone that's getting into car audio.....please understand the theory behind electronics. Hell you can have all the voltage in the world but if your current is not up to par you're gonna be hurting.
