moose
a friend of mine called me up and said he was at work when all of a sudden his subs quit workin, so when i went to look at it, he had pulled the power wire, he was usin 4ga. well reran with 2ga. and when we turned it on the amp was on, the subs were kind of moving, but they werent hitting at all, they were just kind of vibrating like the volume is really really low, and the amp would stay on, until we got to about 23-25 on the cd player, then the amp goes into protect. Ive checked all the wires, and everything is connected good, ground is good....anybody know what it could be?? here's the equipment:... cd player: older Alpine deck sub amp: old series Hifonics Brutus 2006BXi 2000watt subs: (2) 12'' Boss subs Quote J.A.M AUDIO Owner North Texas Authorized DC Sound Lab Dealers

SoloKicker
Sounds to me like a sub problem..... but i could be wrong. Do you have access to some other subs you could hook up to it to test the amp? Or vise versa do you know someone with an amp he cold hook the subs to to test them out? Make sure his ground is good also.

littleitaly1990
correct me if I'm wrong but isn't boss one of the very low end companies. I HIGHLY doubt that 2 12s can handle a full 2000 watts rms. They are blown. I can't even find a boss sub online that handles 1000 wrms. Quote A vitrolic, megalomaniacal sadistic psychopath.
