comes with everything needed and it plays music and movies (movies need a special converter)

battery is perfect how long it lasts i unno lol i never play it straight till it dies lasts me a week and a half before its completely dead the way i use it. and gen i unno its only a year and a bit old

if the ipod has a Search function in it, then its a 5.5G ipod video, if it doesnt, its a 5th generation.

ipod video's can play music, movies, and show pictures. i have a 5.5G myself, hacked with the new ipod classic interface (with the split screen thingy), rockbox, and linux and it works like a charm.
