Is My Alt Working Properly ?

I'm not the greatest when it comes to car electrics but I just have a quick question about my alt.

Im running a HO Alt (250a) with a single yellow top for now (only running 1200 rms till my Bl's and z1 go in) and on music my voltage goes down to 13.1v and when the bass note finishes straight back up to 14.4.

Is this an indication that its doing its job as I was under the impression it would keep voltage high rather than have a drop and then pop it back up ?

yea sounds good to me. lol my voltage drops too 10.5 and shoots back up to 14.5(stock alt) hows your headlights, dimming wise?

They dim ever so slightly, but more on punchy notes rather than long ones.

will be running 3 nsb90's soon so battery aspect will be covered just curious about the alt.

Is the sign of a good alt how quickly it returns back to 14.4v+ or how low your voltage drops ?

Im in the UK so no access to auto zone.

The guy who fitted it for me tested it with his meter and the biggest load he could put on it was 153 which it dealt with accordingly.
