2 Headunits?

Recommended Posts

You may be thinking wtf??? You probably should be! haha

Here's the situation, i'm building a 90's style minitruck as you can tell by my build log and have an old alpine PULL OUT TAPE DECK with matching 6 disc changer for the glove box! I'm stoked to have this in the ride and really don't want to push it to it's limits. What I am wanting to do is have the pullout run to my amp and only push my componant speakers, no subs. I don't expect the alpine to put out a very clean signal so I probably won't use it but to just show it works.

I will be buying a mp3 deck, like alpine has that has no cd input slot. I want to run my ipod into that to my amp, to push my system. I don't want to push 150's or anything of that nature, I just want a basic setup with some IA LI's or similar. Maybe some of meade's subs if there is a budget minded "mid level" woofer.

How in the word do I even go about thinking about hooking up two head units to the same amp setup?

If you've been doing something for 20 years, does that mean what you do it right???
