2 Quad 1 Coil Subs To .5 Ohm

i have 2 quad 1 ohm coil woofers and need to wire the pair to .5 ohm total load

so each sub should go

+ to +, - to - on each side to wire it to basically 2 2 ohm coils correct?

then take one of the posotives to the other side to a negative criss crossed right?? that should give me 1 ohm total for 1 woofer?

then im am left with 1 + and 1 - on each sub and go negative to positive on the other sub and vice versa for .5 ohm total?

To get what you after, I think you would need to run the + from on coil to the - of another. then the - from the firs to the + of the second. giving you 2 ohm. Repeat on other side, and then you are at basically a D2 woofer. The when you did the same to the other sub, you take all the +'s and hook them up and all the -'s and hook them up to each other.... and your at .5

I could have just said series the two coils then parallel. But I figured i try to explain it.
