bubinga08 Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 I have a hifonics 440.4 (mids/highs) 55wx4 rms, and a hifonics 2608D (sub) 2600x1 rms amp connected on a distributor block. 1/0 gauge in and two 4 gauge out. Both amps are connected to a Stinger 680 battery in the back and another power wire going up to my factory battery in the front.The people that installed it put a 135 breaker in the front and a 50 amp and a 100 amp fuse on the distributor block. Is this setup right? Any comments or suggestions welcomed. Thanks. It's over 9000!!!

Thanks. they shoulda of really gone at least a 150 up frone and a 150 on the distro. block to the brutus amp. 100 amp fuse should end up popping when at attempting full tilt that would draw somewhere around 170 amps Random vids of the Avalanche My link Team Bass-Hz
dmanson Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 there should have been a 300 amp fuse underhood at least. that 2608 will do a 200 or 250 amp fuse alone as recommended in the manual. i'd upgrade to at least a 250 in front and a 250 in the back at minimum. 2-DC 15XLM2 D.7s 1-DC 5K amp (1) XS Power D6500(UNDERHOOD) and (1) XS3000(REAR) 3 runs 1/0ga for power and 2 runs of 1/0ga for negative.
