if your car did not come with them they are illegal.

Do people even know where the search button is?

your car doesn't have to come with them for them to be legal, if you use projectors... their legal, i have projectors which gives them a nice, sharp cut off line so they don't blind other drivers(unless you aim them to on purpose), and since its not in the stock halogen housing it wont glare either, my only question was which color temp. is legal in Michigan, i DO know how to use the "search button" an tried using it, and couldn't find anything, that's why i asked if anyone knew, whether from personal experience or knowing a cop, thanks to those of you that actually tried answering my question instead of only asking another question.

4300k gives the most light. And if the reason you want hids is the blue color. The projectors acutally make the light look blue to oncoming traffic.

heres a video of mine. 4300k bulbs

I would stick with 10,000k or lower just to be safe. plus who wants purple lights?

ive done alittle research to make sure i want h.i.d.'s (an i do), the next step is finding out whats legal color temp. wise and thats proving to be quite difficult, i guess next time i see a cop ill have to ask to see if their even is a law for them or not (officer while your writing that speeding ticket... what color temp. h.i.d.'s are legal??) lol
