Ray
Your want a linear actuator. To do a trunk you should be in the 8" range. Probably around 400.00 for the part Then lots of fab to make it work right. If your a noob, I would not suggest this project This is about a 6 out of 10 difficulty Quote 2008 California state record holder 157.2 Bassrace2009 California state record holder 157.0 BassraceRollin 50's 158.7db2009 King of Cali Bassrace2009 USACi score 160.5 @ 42hz
jsmoke222000
Here is a diagram of how to wire a "pop Trunk" correctly. Most people cut corners and end up tearing up the trunk trying to wave it. Wiring the trunk this way will only allow the trunk to make a complete open or close. Hope this helps. They do not stand behind their products & their customer service is horrible. They do not actually manufacture lowering springs, they drop ship them from Spring Tech. Chasistech.com also does business as Airbagit.com, Streetridepro.com & Truckinsuspension.com. They are all the same company! Do not trust these bastards! Their products are cheap & more often than not, you don't get what you actually order in the first place! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
