FiQ150db
Install will consist of a 16cuft wall with 2 18" fully loaded bl's. Now my question is with 1.5kw per sub what should be my Db target and what should it be with 2k per sub ? Just wondering if its worthwhile getting a bigger amp ? camino_1to3
120+...."What Will I hit" questions suck! : x2, you need to meter it and then decide on a DB target and whether or not you wanna switch something around. Team T3 Audio Team Sundown Audio Team O.B.M Operation Beast Mode "Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear" wigglez that was a bit over the top, i dont want to invison dw giving any young lady a "cream pie" let alone "throat babies". gotFI?
well since your questions need more detail. im going out on a lim and gonna take a guess. bassracing: might hold a 143-45 db's if your electrical is up to par. db drags: could get up to the mid or high 40's this is a ball park guess and i may be way off. type of car, tuning, electrical and install will determine your db's. FiQ150db
I know its pretty generic but would like to know if the extra 500wrms per sub would be worth it. In detail Car - Ford Fiesta mk5 Zetec S Subs - Fi BL 18's Fully Loaded Amps - 2 x Trutech Hammer H1's or 1 DDZ1 (not Z1a) Wiring - 0awg Knukonceptz Enclosure - 16cuft wall tuned to 32hz Power supply - 3 Nsb90's and 250a HO alt from Highouputalternators.com With 2 Re mx 12's and 1k per sub in a 6cuft boot install I got 145.2. That help ?
Boon
Hard to say how much it would gain you. In a similar setup a friend of mine went from 1.5kw per sub to 3kw per sub and gained...... 0.0dB! Heh. Being a wall in a fairly small car a 150 isn't an impossible target, depends on tuning. gotFi, you're kinda way off... although you say it's ballpark and there are a lot of things that affect it, it's not hard to do ~145dB off a single 12 on 1000wrms. With 2 18's if you can't manage 150 (or good 140's at some insane low frequency) then either your box sucks or something is wrong with your install. 10.x volts fo' life!
