Got_Bass89 Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 I'm running my zx350.4 on the side of my box so I probably got 5ft runs of pos and neg off back battery to amp... Wires right there on top nothing gonna pierce it or short it... Think I should still fuse or not needed? Boon Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 You gotta decide for yourself in a way. Look at it this way - if that wire shorts out, your car will burn to the ground. Are you happy to take the odds of it not shorting out vs the consequences if it does? Also remember that if the amp goes bad it may become a dead short internally - although I assume that amp has fuses. 10.x volts fo' life!
