I just mounted the amp and battery this week and I was wondering if its possible to fuse between the amp and the secondary battery?

I mounted the amp on some 2 inch long pvc pipe...

I'll get a better picture tomorrow but the idea is that it is floating above the seat brace and there is 360 degrees of ventilation compared to if it was sitting on MDF.

yes, I believe that's where it's supposed to go.

1990 Jeep Cherokee 4X4

Pioneer DEH-P2900MP, Big 3 done in 1/0, 1 run 1/0 ran to amp

DAT HF1000.1 #007 powering a DC lvl4 15

DAT HR 4085 prototype powering 2 Selenium 6s and 2 no name tweeters running active

1st place in AS3 @ Surf City Sound Off, 140.8 @ 45hz @ the headrest.

rebuild coming soon to get a better score :)

really?

I always thought it went between the starter battery and the secondary.

starter battery---[fuse]-----------------------------[fuse]---secondary battery----amplifier

you are saying I can go...

starter battery---[fuse]-----------------------------secondary battery---[fuse]---amplifier

you should have a fuse within 18" of any battery to be safe, the fuse keeps the battery from meltdown if there happened to be a dead short somewhere

so what I have gathered is that it doesn't matter where on either side of the battery I put the fuse whether its between the amp and the battery or the battery and starter battery I just need to fuse it less than 18" away?
