thehoe92 Posted November 16, 2009 Author Report Posted November 16, 2009 my doors have 25 sq feet of deadening each but its mainly on the outer layer. I am probably going to do 25 more on the inner layer because that is what makes the most noise against the actual door panel off the head unit they sound pretty good and get decently loud... better than the bose but I can tell they are starving for power lol Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple

zfrerichs Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 I got the idea from your build duct tape all the holes and shoot away.I got a chunk on my leg the first day took a shower went to bed and at school the next day I found it hurt like a bitch to pull of. but what do you mean you can seal up holes after spraying foam? Yeah tape works good but you can't seal up every hole or the foam won't dry up you should do half of one area at a time let it dry then do the other half like half an a pillar then the second half Roseville, CA
thehoe92 Posted November 16, 2009 Author Report Posted November 16, 2009 Yeah tape works good but you can't seal up every hole or the foam won't dry up you should do half of one area at a time let it dry then do the other half like half an a pillar then the second half well you should have told me that before I started haha I just figured that out today when I saw another puddle of foam in my car thats probably why the foam that I shot in between the brace and the roof dried that night because I didn't tape it off Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple
thehoe92 Posted November 22, 2009 Author Report Posted November 22, 2009 started wrapping some panels and managed to move one of the tweeters from my a-pillar to my door my upholstery shop my dog lucy keepin an eye on things my drivers side door panel on1wheel06 this is how I mounted the front door speakers just a couple of screws that came with the comp set still need to suede my headliner the second skin black foil and just my luck it dripped again I've lost count of how many times its dripped now big or small 1 finished b-pillar wrapped in black vinyl it looks and feels like leather very nice stuff the back side of it some tricky curves this is a little side step when you open the rear doors bunch of grooves in it kind of practice for when I do the front side steps which are longer and more complex my degreaser, have to make sure the panels are clean before you go spray adhesive on them otherwise you won't be happy setting up the other side b-pillar... tedious work but it came out great I'll have more pictures tomorrow of my a-pillar that I wrapped, the relocation of my tweeter, and the finished product might even have a video since I promised decaf one Wouldnt be thehoe92 without teh purple
