My First Enclosure(update:carpeted)

Just finished up my first enclosure

its 7.4 cubes tunned to 33-37hz for a 18" Fi SSD

still need to carpet or paint it. Sorry about quality taken

with my cell phone.

tuned to 33-37Hz?? There is only one tuning frequency for a bass reflex.

who said anything about a bass reflex enclosure?

standard ported boxes are bass reflex enclosures. i believe

standard ported boxes are bass reflex enclosures. i believe
^correct

if you can, try to do another dowel rod from top to bottom and port wall to opposite side wall.... should help

and if u got a router, roundover the port with 1/2-3/4" bit

looks good for ur 1st box

still curious about tuning... a ported enclosure is tuned to one frequency

i have sanded down all corners in the port

so it all rounded over and im not 100% sure

on tunning because original port size was 6 1/2" wide

and i made it 6" so im not sure if it bumped up the

tunning from 33hz at all. the other port demensions never changed

justed the width by 1/2" and it was 33hz before.

yeah i did i would have glued the outside and siliconed or caulked

the inside but as long as it doesnt leak should be fine
