Decaf Posted February 22, 2009 Report Share Posted February 22, 2009 (edited) standard ported boxes are bass reflex enclosures. i believe^correctif you can, try to do another dowel rod from top to bottom and port wall to opposite side wall.... should help and if u got a router, roundover the port with 1/2-3/4" bit looks good for ur 1st box still curious about tuning... a ported enclosure is tuned to one frequency Edited February 22, 2009 by decafcappucino Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bennett15 Posted February 22, 2009 Author Report Share Posted February 22, 2009 i have sanded down all corners in the port so it all rounded over and im not 100% sure on tunning because original port size was 6 1/2" wide and i made it 6" so im not sure if it bumped up the tunning from 33hz at all. the other port demensions never changed justed the width by 1/2" and it was 33hz before.
