brewer_brewer
ok let me clear this up a bit...so my amp is a monoblock and its 2ohm stable. my subs are dual 2ohm subs. and if i wire it to 2ohms as shown in option #2 http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woof...mp;woofer_imp=3 it will stay a 2ohm load iff i connect it into my monoblock amp or will it lower the ohm load? because some onee said to do a 4ohm load and it will make it a 2ohm load by itself...confused if you wire them to 4 ohms then the amp will run 4 ohms if you wire them to 2 ohms then the amp will run 2 ohms whatever resistance you wire it to that is how much resistance there is. 01xtreme
alright thanks i was unsure The will actually read a higher impedance at the amp once they get in the box, and the voice coils warms up and what not, so if anything it will ready higher than 2ohms, but you really don't need to worry about that. 01xtreme
like a 2.67 load huh it can go higher than that depending on your enclosure, and other variables. like I said, unless you're doing all out SPL it really shouldn't matter. Someone actually posted another thread about it a few threads down.
