jcm1689
Im going to be runnin a 3000 watt rms amp and a 4-channel amp. the manual says the 3000 watt amp draws 160 amps and the 4 channel says 40amps. so if this info is correct the system would draw about 200 amps. Right now i have a red top top up front and a 140 amp stock alt. im going to be droppin in 2 cheapo batteries in the rear until i can get the money for my kenetik's. I also plan on upgrading the alternator to an iraggi amputator 200 amps (175amps at idle) but wont be able to for a few months. I was originally going to run 2 runs of 0 guage. right now i can get a extremely good deal on 2 or 4 guage wire from a local shop. i plan on upgrading the subs and amp later to more power but for now would multiple runs of 2 or 4 guage work with the current set up and stock alt? and if so how many runs would i need? sean 371
I think a single run of 1/0 gauge would suffice. I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong. :^ A couple links to some box builds: Tahoe Box 1, Tahoe Box 2, Nissan Titan, VW GTI, Mini-Bump, Hummer H2, Ford F-150 My own car builds (current setup --- under construction): Overall Thread, Kickpods, Dash, Back Doors Subwoofer Wall
