Are audioques built in the USA or off in china somewhere? The HDC series is not based off of the DD9500 or the DD3500. It is not not any more similiar to the DD's then any other other top of the line subwoofer. The HDC3 copper series uses offshore parts just as most other subs out there. The final assembly and QC is done in OKC by Resonance Inc. The quality of materials and workmanship are outstanding. All HDC series have extended pole pieces cross drilled and machined slots for cooling. The coil formers are also cross drilled. The HDCA's (Aluminum coils) are hand built in house with American spiders and coils. They have a different suspension system and are optimized for SPL. The Aluminum coil versions are built as ordered and require about 5-6 days build time. Audioque amps are built in South Korea, AQ comp sets are built in Germany. Audioque products are sold direct on-line only. We do not support a dealer network, nor do we advertise; this allows us to spare no expense in the quality of the parts we use or the production quality of our products.
