If you insist on using your shop, just tell them to take the seats out and build a false floor on top of the brackets, carpet it with a fabric of your choice, then build a ported box on top.

Hell you could even put a couple pieces of plexi on the false floor and have your amps underneath it. Neons, LEDs, speakers in the floor etc...

There's so many things you can do, they obviously have no experience with custom installs. And building a box is NOT a custom install. It'll only look like shit if they install it like shit.

There great builders they have been in a ton a competions and have excellent custom install's. I should talk to the owner not the yoyo behind the counter.

and btw im sure u r just guessing on the db because 100 db is very quiet.

You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start :D

I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.
