Now what do you mean by 'errors in frequencies?' That is a term that I haven't come across.

And with all due respect, no, you do not alter the physical wave by switching sample rate frequencies. What you will experience however is a pronounced comb filter that tricks the human ear into percieving a different frequency response. A lower sample rate frequency has a wide-Q comb, thus giving it that distinct lo-fi all high all low end tone, whereas a high sample rate such as 96KHz has a plethora of combs with a narrow Q resulting in a more 'natural' sound if you will.

Being a live sound guy, I've only touched on recording software. How do you find Acid? Worth the time and money, or are there better products out there for the price?

Cheers,

Mick

well if your using monitors and touching recording software. thats great man. i wouldn't switch. i use acid when creating music so i use it to render products into different formats. other then that, if you want to see what im talking about fixing errors in the frequencies. try out wavelab 5. best one they ever came out with. then you cross the products between having a product that tricks the human ear, which is the whole purpose of remastering in the first place right? lol and in wavelab you can analyze the sample/song, and cross the new rendered product and when you download VSTs, you can alter the product different ways.let me know if you try it

I've always used acid only as a tool to record and mix tracks when I record my guitar work and making my songs, however when it came to giving it the fine tuning and effects I've found that adobe audition is a MUCH more powerful tool.

AVG free virus protection worked wonders for me in the past, I've got kaspersky on one of my machines at the moment and it's seemed to be even better. You might want to look into those.
