this isnt so much remastering as it is just re eq'ing a song to have more bass or high end to fit your tastes. the songs were recorded and mixed and produced to be listened to flat.

not to be a dick or anything, but i work in a recording studio, and this is far from remastering.

True. but the term remastering is all about someone redoing a song from flat to where it meets their tastes. Nothing personal. doesn't matter where you work. my friends have a studio here in dallas. but it doesnt mean anything if you work or have a studio. just have to know what your doing to make it sound right.

BUTTT IF ANYONE WANTS ME TO HELP THEM! WITH REMASTERING AKA RE-Equalizing their music. let me know. im here to help ya my friends.

P.S. - TO ALL!. im not pointing anyone out. if you got something that you want to say as an opinion thats fine. but if all your gonna do is give knowlegde and rethink someone else. NOT NEEDED!! I posted this thread to help people out. not to stir up some drama.

JUST FYI! Keep the love

BTW. im working on buying some stuff to complete my studio. what kind of equipment and software do you use?

Sorry for the long wait bloke, haven't been here in a few days. I work in live sound, theatrical sound to be precise. I use a DiGiCo D1L as a console, through a BSS Omnidrive for filtering, Urie Performer compressors, TC VoiceWorks, M1 and M2's for effects and a BSS Soundweb for loudspeaker management. We have Meyer Sound CQ1 and CQ2 full range loudspeakers flown with two flown Meyer woofers for low end. Don't really need them, the CQ's are a true full range loudspeaker, but they come in handy. That's FOH, stage monitors and what not are all in the signature below.

For the little recording studio we have, we use a DigiDesign 003 Console and VST processing to save on outboard patching. Shure Beta microphones (57's, 58's, 87's, 91's and 98's) for instruments, Rhode NT-2A for vocals.

Cheers,

Mick
