Sub Up Port Back Or Sub & Port Back?

starting to built my box for 1 aqhdc3 15 and was ganna do about 5.5-6 cubes tuned to 34hz slot port. does it matter if i put the sub facin up port back or sub and port back which would be better. its goin in a ford 98 explorer xlt

Derrick824 has been doing very well with sub(s) up and side ported in his expo. The latest number were a 149.5 db with two 15's on a single Sundown 1500.

Theirs many things you can do with 1 sub vs up, front, & back but it depends on what your looking for. In a comp stand point the best numbers we have put up was the sub up a slot port to the side in a crx and the sub was put to the middle left section of the car and the meter was on the right windshield passenger window up drive side down hitting a 151.3db if you are competing try different setups to see what numbers you put up. If your competing in reality a kick setup would work great with the meter in the driver seat. But if your looking for everyday bass and no comps or anything like that sub up port side or front would sound great as well just giving you some ideas that has worked for me.
