camino_1to3 Posted March 14, 2009 Report Posted March 14, 2009 I just wired the amp to my highs up. My subs have been up and running for approx. a month, doing their job and being loud. About an hour ago I get done wiring up all needed for my highs, sigh for relief, sit down and turn the car on. I hear about five seconds of music from the highs then they cut out, all I hear is bass, and periodically (about every fifteen seconds) the subs let out a big burp of bass. The bass will be going and all the sudden POP goes a random note thats not even in the song. I know I wired everything up right so does anyone on here know what is going on? Another thing is the speakers I wired the amps to aren't even as loud now as they were before I did, it's really weird. mrwigglezdj Posted March 14, 2009 Report Posted March 14, 2009 my first thought would be to tripple check the grounds and all other wires Americas loudest work van2006 iasca heavyweight bassboxing champion at 150.4 db with 60second average TL8 memphis PR15s,12 memphis PR6.5's coax,4 memphis PR 1inch tweets
camino_1to3 Posted March 14, 2009 Author Report Posted March 14, 2009 my first thought would be to tripple check the grounds and all other wires All the grounds are in tact, run to the same place also. That couldn't affect it though right? mrwigglezdj Posted March 14, 2009 Report Posted March 14, 2009 being as how you installed something and now everything is action fucked, i would remove all (just disconnect) that you just put in and see if all is well, if not then you will need to check all wires and rca's to make sure you didnt damage some while installing the highs amp Americas loudest work van2006 iasca heavyweight bassboxing champion at 150.4 db with 60second average TL8 memphis PR15s,12 memphis PR6.5's coax,4 memphis PR 1inch tweets

camino_1to3 Posted March 14, 2009 Author Report Posted March 14, 2009 Ran it the problem down, accidently wired to Head unit also and didn't clip the wire, grounding in the same place is fine.
