white4d96 Posted March 23, 2009 Author Report Posted March 23, 2009 I give. I need lower sound! I think this box is too small, would that cause the sound to be weaker at low ranges? The subs only have a frequency response down to 30hz, so I dont know if that is a cause as well. Could I port the box and get more sound down low? I just don't want a peaky sound or to not be able to hear distortion... Quote Too many projects, too little time...
BanginOnABudget Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 what kind of subs are you using? i will design you an enclosure Quote im taking out my passenger seat, battery is disconnected, going to unwire and take out the three amps, take out the 70+ lb box, then the platform so i can crimp 1 wire. Almost as bad as those fegs that put those horns in their grills and roll down the street distorting the block.... 1990 Jeep Cherokee 2 Dr. Big-3 in 0g on Stock Alt. Pioneer 6.5" and 5.25"s temp. until i can afford the new crescendos. Pioneer 6000ub Reciever NO amps at the moment. SA-15 on 1kw coming soon. MSG Me for a free enclosure design!! Weatherman says rain til wednesday afternoon...we'll see what happens then. Edited March 24, 2009 by ktownsdriftking Quote Too many projects, too little time...
white4d96 Posted March 26, 2009 Author Report Posted March 26, 2009 Got the measurements! I'm looking at a space about 16" high by 38" long by 10" deep (at top; widens to about 14-15" at bottom); so if I could get a ported design that fits the 16x38x10 area, with room to mount the amp on the back (hopefully), that would be awesome! Where would be a good frequency to aim for with the port for a daily though? Quote Too many projects, too little time...
