It matters on the town/city ordinances. 13 yrs ago I was fined and decide not to pay ($60 so what) and I thought it was bullshit that they ticketed me in the first place. Of course the cop said he could hear me over 1/2 mile away. And of course students what happens when you don't pay a fine? My license was suspended. I din't even know it. 6 months later I was pulled over on a date and arrested for driving on a suspended license. Such Bullshit Quote
Dozier Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 Two in the morning. I am on my way home from the club about a year ago when I was on Leave. For those of you who don't know, I am in the Marine Corps. I had at the time 6-Mtx 5500 DVC 12's. So I pass this cop at like two in the morning on the side of the road. He had someone already pulled over and his lights were on and stuff and I left the radio turned all the way up like an idiot. You know...Military not worried type of stuff. So I pass him and he immediately jumps in his car and leaves the car he had pulled over. I just go ahead and start to pull over and stop. He pulls up behind me and walks up and says. "Why you disrespetin me?" I say "What?" And he says "Why you disrespectin me? Give me your license." So I flip out my wallet and show him my license which is conviently located right next to my Military ID. He says "give me that too." So I give it to him. He says "Where are your Leave papers?" I tell him that they are at home. He says "Why don't you have them on you?" I tell him I don't have to have them on me unless I am traveling. He starts to go on about how he is also an MP and trash and how he knows the law and I am wrong. So he runs the license and I sit and wait on him to return. He says I am going to give you a warning for your stereo being wayyyyy to loud. This warning counts for any Military base I may encounter you on in the future also. Then he walks away after giving me my license and ID back. I was thinking. Fucking reservist bitch. Grow some balls and go Active and don't hate on me for having a system that makes you scream to the person you have pulled over so that they can hear you. On another note. If you are in the Military...Don't be a buddy fucker. Treat your fellow military members like brothers. You are in the same fight. There is a little hostility from me towards reservists. I know there are some circumstances with people having kids and needing to be home with other family members so they go reserve. This guy had no ring on his hand. I don't know if maybe it's because they have got a better job on the outside and maybe they feel like they're too good for the service these days. Maybe they're pissed because they thought signed up for a free ride..............and got deployed.....oops. Guest Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 apparently this (spelling) isn't one of the criteria of becoming a officer of the peace. nor is the whole "sense-of-humor' thing ,when i asked if i could try again for 300 feet , i received quite the lengthy lecture of how he could impound my stuff. at least a hundred people drove past us , calling him choice words, which made it hard to keep a straight face during the lecture.
