mr.big2468 Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 i'm putting in an=alpine cd/mp3 deck,200 wats =2 2,000 wat amps (sony) =1 18" FI sub =2 12" pioneer subs thats all i got so far just a basic system now i need ur ideas on wat to get to keep from killing the battery,blowing the system,or underpowering it!!
ThwopKing Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 You realize there is no way your stock charging/wiring system will handle this stereo. IM guessing at the MOST you have a 100amp Alt. that wont be nearly enough for that amount of power. Also where are you putting the subs as in reg cab pick up. Also haveing 12's and an 18in sub trying to reproduce the same bass notes will sound very muddy unless tuned right. I would suggest trying to just use the 12's or just the 18in sub with some proper mid's of say the 8in size range. mr.big2468 Posted March 26, 2009 Author Report Posted March 26, 2009 i'm putting the subs on the floor in sub boxs and also on the seat till i do some interior work, as for the powering im good and the amps i'm not really sure if they are sony or something els idk cause my buddy is getting them for me!!! but right now my budget aint great so my system aint great but im open to suggestions from peaople that arnet gonna give me a smart assed awnser or an awnser that makes them self feel like they r acctually smart what so ever (thwopking) :censored:
