Justin
I have installed a brand new eclipse head unit, bd1500, 2 l7 15's, in a 95 suburabn. The big three is done in 0ga also the same as power wire. The problem is that when I turn the hu to about 65 and then turn the remote up 3/4 up the highs will cutt out. I am not using a amp on the highs only for bass. Check the wiring for loose conection all the grounds are good. Also the rca's are new but I replaced them just in case. But it still does the same thing. Could it be possible that I have a + and - backwards causing the problem???? Or what do you guys think? 99 2dr Blazer Kenwood KVT-614 SounDigital SD16k 4 Fi BTL 18s 4 hertz high energy 6.5s comps 4 stock ad244 alts 6 g31s batts 8 runs 0ga
Boon
Just the highs? Do the mids keep working? If you're using components with a seperate tweeter then sometimes the tweeters have a thermal fuse that protects them if you give them too much power or clip them. 10.x volts fo' life!
