What's The Best Route Here?

Ported clamshell, 24KW

  1. 1. After debating, here's the choices:

    • 12 12" DC LVL 4XLs, slightly lacking required airspace, 2k each
      12
    • 6 15" LVL5s, sufficient airspace, 4k each
      29
    • Other... please list below

Well I have all MOJO right now as it is. Don't get me wrong, they're great! And not trying to be a cack, but I have the money to try new companies over and over. I could get a couple more MOJOs, recone the ones I have (if they're the same motor??) and do that, but I've seen some kick ass performance out of DC and I'd like to sport em.

Well if you got the money, and only want pure spl, why not try DD? Either way... You're gonna get some nice numbers with 10k+ watts and a few 15s. Good luck with whatever you choose.

Hey no problem man. I'm always open for suggestions and I've seen a lot of good SPL accomplishments from DD, but right now I'm lookin at DC.

Anyway. If I was you and going with DC, id definitely choose the level 5s. Correct me if im wrong, but the lvl 5s are made solely for spl.... no?

All I know is that those subs are gonna see music/tones/anything you can think of. I'm sure they'll do fine. MOJOs are meant for SPL as well, but I have extremely clean response from them. That's the most common comment I get on my car (other than how loud it is) that it's one of the cleanest they've heard.

1990 Jeep Cherokee 4X4

Pioneer DEH-P2900MP, Big 3 done in 1/0, 1 run 1/0 ran to amp

DAT HF1000.1 #007 powering a DC lvl4 15

DAT HR 4085 prototype powering 2 Selenium 6s and 2 no name tweeters running active

1st place in AS3 @ Surf City Sound Off, 140.8 @ 45hz @ the headrest.

rebuild coming soon to get a better score :)

DC lvl 4's arent that far behind the DD 9500's and thats just lvl 4's now the lvl 4xl's would give the DD 9500's a run for their money and the lvl 5's......u get the point :lol:

EDIT: i wasnt bashing on DD either just making a quick comparison DD subs are beasts but they also come with a beefy price tag
