raytard Posted March 22, 2009 Report Share Posted March 22, 2009 put the gain at or around where you think 2v would be, if it goes from .5-12, (left to right, and knowing amps .5 is prob at the 7 oclock position and 12 is around 5oclock, use about 9 oclock) does the amp pop the subs when it cuts? is a thermal light on? are any lights on? otherwise take it back and complain, probably shouldve done that first, most shops dont like it when customers who admittedly dont know gain from gauge start messing with stuff. Derek16 Posted March 23, 2009 Author Report Share Posted March 23, 2009 (edited) there is a green light on saying its on i believe. but i mean the sub literally just turned off. completley stopped working. the speakers still worked just fine, just the subs stopped. the amp goes from .2 volts to 5 volts. do you still recomend 2 volts? Derek16 Posted March 25, 2009 Author Report Share Posted March 25, 2009 (edited) i put it at roughly 2 volts and its louder and it didnt stop when i put it at 44. but before at 3 volts at 40 it stopped. why is that?
