i want to replace my battery, nothing wrong with it. i would just like to get one larger one instead of having "one up front and one in back"

currently i have the stock 140amp alt, RF T1500+ going to install a P400 in two weeks.

My T1500 puts out ~ 1100W@2ohms and the P400 puts out ~76W@4ohms. so thats going to be ~1176 RMS i'll be running.

Now i was looking at http://www.4xspower.com/caraudio.html and the D5100 puts out ~2000W when being used as the primary battery.

would that be good enough to use as my starting battery + use it to power both amps and still have some power left over so i wont need a cap?

OOORR do you guys think i should keep my stock battery and just ad a D925 as a secondary battery?

One last question. whats the difference between the D5100 and the D5100R?

Thanks guys.

Get the biggest battery you can up in the front of your car by measuring how much room you really have up there and make the decision from there. For example, I was told I could really only do a D5100, but i got a D2400 in there and oh my does it rock.

As for the 5100, it will be fine to power everything, but the bigger battery you can get up front the better...

I would say upgrade your front battery and it never hurts to have a battery in the back to help the front battery on large spikes of power.

5100 vs 5100R is that the R has reversed terminals.

Personally, get the biggest battery up front and the biggest one you can afford in the back... you can never have too much battery power ;)

Also, for an alt, look into DC Power (they are in the manufacture section)with an MLA module... that will help your batteries stay charged.

reason why i say you need an alt is because that T1500 is very power hungry at high volumes and it will start cutting into your battery power and will make your voltage drop.

hope this helped

space is really not an issue. the "front battery" for chrysler 300's is in the trunk

i took out the spare tire, so i have all that space to play with.

*as for HO alts. i've been saving my milk money. haha.

last time i checked 200 AMP alts for my car were in the $500 price range.

I'll check out DC though. ;)

Check with robbie at dc, im pretty sure he will work with ya... he sure did with me.. and he always has crazy ideas....

if your stock battery is in the trunk, then throw a D3100 back there and call it a day :)
