Alt ?'s

Hey, whats good?

I have some sounds in my car and I was lookin around about to upgrade them when I came across this site, and since then I have learned so much shit I never would of thought of (namely the big 3).

But anywho, this forum got me thinking about my battery and alt. I have a 2001 cavalier 2.2L, alt output 105 and all that good stuff. My headlights and interior lights dim when my sub hits (I have a 12" kicker L5 with some shitty 760W amp hooked to it). I'm eventually gonna upgrade, literally going from mundane to extreme eventually, but first I wanna do some upgrades, first the battery, the big 3, and adding 0 gauge wire running from amp and all that.

But onto the real question, I would like to run two alternators ideally, but,

A ) should I run two stock alts and would that do the job?

B ) should I invest in two Iraggi?

C ) this is the question that really gets me because I dont know too much about this subject yet, can I put a higher amp alt in my cavy or will it mess with the other electronics in the car?

you dont need another alternator for only about 700w. try changing the battery under your hood to a power master or kinetik and/or adding one in the trunk.

.... I know I dont need the alts right now.. obviously, but in the future I was thinking I might when I throw a 15" or two maybe an 18" if I can build the box right and at least a 2000w amp.

But I was going to get a better battery definatly, and that should solve the dimming problem for now?
