Noobtastic14
It takes power to make power i'd only believe he was getting a true 6,000wrms if he had a HUGE battery bank that was charged. -Drew I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional. Colin - STAPUFT
You are right on that about not getting my true wattage from my amps. If I actually had enough power to feed them, I think the van would scare me. Just yesterday with the Alt I rebuilt and the right song- It wanged so hard I could hear the roof from inside the van. That never happened before, not even close- even when I metered. Dah!!! I am so freakin' conflicted. Every time I think about a battery bank, I change my mind for a big alternator. Then I will stew on it for a week or 2 and almost get some batteries. Then bam, I get to thinking- screw that! I will run 1 battery and a BIG alternator. Then I want to do both and realize I am constantly broke and forever in fear of the sucky economy sucking me and my job down with it! I would rather have cash in the bank than a van and no house! LOL. Perhaps I give it a bit more time and go out blastin' the stereo to clear out the cobwebs. 12 - 12"s in the STAY PUFT 1989 Chevy Astro Build & Comment Log Un-Interrupted Build LogYouTube Channel Chevy Trailblazer 5.1 Dolby Digital DTS Install You have a beard of a mysterious sea captain. 1992Chevy K1500
It'd be better to get a battery bank before a bigger alt. The batteries act as a 2 way buffer. They smooth out the load to the alt and smooth out the voltage spikes in the system (there are never many, but maybe 1 or 2 a day). My comp setup (Not bad for what it is): HP Compaq Presario V6120US laptop with: 15.4" widescreen AMD Turion 64 X2 1.6GHz processor 2x1GB stick DDR2 SDRAM (667 Mhz) Seagate Momentus 500GB SATA HDD 128MB shared video memory Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit 12 cell Lithium Ion battery (actual battery usage time: 6 hours) What it does: On a USB 2.0 Wireless card

Sounds like the Dodge is really wakin' up! Not like it wasn't loud before! You gonna' go to any shows or anything where you can meter again?? Just goes to show you what electrical and baffles can do! Soon as you get all the little stuff caught up, I bet you get to itching for more amp. Looks like you and I are pretty much in step with our builds on what we are doing and with the speed at which we can get stuff done! You working on yours keeps me motivated to keep tweaking on mine. 12 - 12"s in the STAY PUFT 1989 Chevy Astro Build & Comment Log Un-Interrupted Build LogYouTube Channel Chevy Trailblazer 5.1 Dolby Digital DTS Install You have a beard of a mysterious sea captain.
