Colin - STAPUFT
I know how you feel about the heat man, its 101 in NC today, and with our humidity i've been told thats like 111 in texas. I've ran out once to get some measurements and came back in lol. I work in this heat, but doing it on my own time is totally different if you know what i mean, and congrats on the win. Yeah I do. I'm not as good as I used to be! This heat is for the birds! I look out there and see the heat rippling off the road and the grass- and I'm like- "Nah." Thanks for the congrats. 4th place on SOTM congrats dude. i still say u should have won the cerwin vega month Thanks D. I would have taken the Cerwin-Vega month- for sure. My wife's TrailBlazer would have been CV'd out boss! haha. Still- I'm wicked stoked on my Hat swag. 12 - 12"s in the STAY PUFT 1989 Chevy Astro Build & Comment Log Un-Interrupted Build LogYouTube Channel Chevy Trailblazer 5.1 Dolby Digital DTS Install You have a beard of a mysterious sea captain. boomroomsoon
As an owner of almost this exact van; I LOVE IT! Mine is a '94 Safari EXT the exact same color combo and wheels. I love the simplicity of your build and the astounding results! KUDOS! You SHOULD have been the CV month winner, IMO! Great build man! Bladder bursting bass fan! andygardner
Wow. I just started from beginning to end. This is amazing for sure. I'm surprised you stayed with the same box and subs for this long. Most people on here rebuild every couple months haha. Glad you finally got that other alt in. Now just replace that battery! If this one ever gets painted, it may go a different color (custom crazy paint), but I love the plain old white. Thanks- the CV month would of been cool, but another very well deserving ride got it. It is all in good fun. Wow. I just started from beginning to end. This is amazing for sure. I'm surprised you stayed with the same box and subs for this long. Yeah, I've noticed that people change box set ups all the time, but I don't have the time or $$... plus, I think I like this one. Yeah- I needs to replace the under hood with an AGM- and stick a couple in the back too. It would help tremendously! With @700 amps of possible draw, the system puts the big hurt on the electrical.
I love the color of the "Stealth Banger"! I just plan on darker tint all around and eventually putting an "18 in it. I love the way people look around trying to figure out where the music is coming from when there's a lot of traffic! Bladder bursting bass fan! That has GOT to be one of my favorite parts of having a stealthy install in a sleeper. No one ever expects it- and the looks of confusion and horror never get old. -and I've gotta know what kind of car that is in your avatar. I think i like it. boomroomsoon
It's a George Barris custom ElDorado wagon. If i remember right; it was a 70 with parts from '68, '69, and '70. I loved it when I first saw it! I had planned on painting my van and adding wheels and air bags before going crazy with an LS2 and narrowed 14 bolt(I like full floating axles!), but I think it'll just be the drivetrain and bags with an upgraded alt with one 18. I just want the bags for load leveling anyway! Your install inspired me to get back into it full steam though! Bladder bursting bass fan!

There are some sick v8 Astros out there. I meant to put one in the Van, but alas... maybe in another 240,000 more miles. I just wanted it for the torque to pull the speaker box down the road. I hear that they will actually get better gas mileage if you do it right. My 74 3/4 ton Chevy 4x4 has full floating axles. That is fun stuff. A bomb can go off and they will still roll down the road. My truck is "Grecian Bronze". I have a thing for that pumpkin burnt orange color. 12 - 12"s in the STAY PUFT 1989 Chevy Astro Build & Comment Log Un-Interrupted Build LogYouTube Channel Chevy Trailblazer 5.1 Dolby Digital DTS Install You have a beard of a mysterious sea captain. Colin - STAPUFT
Well- redid the soundstage in the Van. Pulled the amp rack for the millionth time, rewired all the RCAs to the amps to be front and rear, removed the lone 3 way active crossover and put the EQ for the subs there. Took a few photos while I was playin' around. Back of one of the 200 watt 2 channels. Guts! Only 4 mosfets per side. Pity. They still play clean and put out rated or more. 1999 Team MTX baby! The board with the 3-way Xover. That's out now... Aaaah the horror! Soundstage bits and baubles. My son Corban helping me unbox new swag! 8" MTX Road Thunder Subs for the doors!
