  1. Wow; Holden sold a re-badged Trooper, live and learn! Nice sound chamber for maximum destruction bass btw!
  2. Thanks for the advice, I was doing research WHILE asking questions here. I thought this was a forum for an exchange of ideas. I wanted to see if there were any avenues that I could go to that could give me what I wanted. I also don't like being talked down to like I'm an idiot who knows nothing about car audio. It's not what you say; it's how you say it. Lesson learned; there won't be anymore inquiries unless I ask specific people that can speak the way they want to be spoken to. We're all adults; let's speak as such.
  3. Thanks for nothing. After researching A LOT; I found out that it was a hybrid sub that used parts from several different subs that fake snobs brag on all the time. It was never meant to be sold to a large scale audience; which is why it was never labeled. It was a trial series to gauge interest in the speaker. The dealer that sold it to me also has some old Hifonics 15" subs that don't have their logos on them either. They've (Maxxsonics)contacted him about sending the subs(he has 4 of them) back to the factory for the equivalent of 8 new subs. It's good to know that some jerks can support Chinese made subs by American companies, and American made subs with Chinese parts; but a good sub that was musical and could get loud cleanly is talked about like it's garbage. Having been in car audio since 88; I'll do what I've always done and do my own work to find better answers without silly ass answers clouding the way. BTW; the dealer that I originally bought it from is going to do the re-cone with dual 2 ohm coils for $80. I've always respected answers from people on SMD; and I'll have to be more of a comment and keep moving person like I have been.
  4. Because the link won't work either! I'm putting them on another site right now.
  5. Neither of them are it; but the second one is a little closer. It looks very similar in design to a Cactus Sounds MK 1 18" sub based on pure appearance. The vented back plate on mine is flat, but otherwise, they're very VISUALLY similar. 3" vc, dual spiders, and dual 4ohm vc. I just want to go to dual 2ohm coils on it basically.
  6. I have some posted on another site and on my computer; but I can't get them to load here.
  7. Thanks for the heads up! If I can get my photos to upload; I'll post the pics of it.
  8. Those subs that they sell look nothing like my sub! the motor structure ALONE on my sub weighs about 15-20 lbs.! It has a roughly 9"double stacked vented magnet on it. I tried uploading pics of it, but to no avail!
  9. I have a problem finding a re-cone kit for my Goldwood Audio sub. It's a 12" dual 4 ohm sub with a massive motor structure. I don't remember what model it is because I purchased it 8 years ago new and it had no stickers on it to identify it. I've been beating the hell out of it for the entire time that I've owned it and was expecting failure some day; and it let go spectacularly! the smell and sound was TOTALLY worth slamming on brakes and pulling to the shoulder in traffic! I'd like to find a re-cone that also has the leads woven into the upper spider and all of the other things that made this sub so nice to listen to for all of these years. It has 6; 1/2 - 3/4" phillips head bolts that hold the basket on the motor assembly. This is an extremely well built sub that sounded fantastic and I'm not willing to part with it. I'd like to go from dual 4 ohm to dual 2 ohm coils. HEEEEELP!
