AP Zoutes
I've always used Dynamat....I found this stuff on E-bay. Does anyone have experience with this stuff? It' a great deal. Tell me what you know or think. http://cgi.ebay.com/50sf-FatMat-Car-Audio-...1QQcmdZViewItem
LSN2meBoom916
Yup. And on the lexus I put in the member builds section. Just like Dynamat. I actually prefer Cascade VB-2 or VB-3 but this is cheap cheap. Back wall of my buddies 2006 Chevy 2500HD 4dr. AP Zoutes
does it work as well as Dynamat. The most impressed I've ever been was my Bronco with Mud tires = silent @ 60mph on highway with dynatmat (2-layers on every piece of metal) Will this do as well? LSN2meBoom916
yes. assuming you do a good seal job and push it in all the lil tiny cracks (like in that pic and w/ the lexo) it works just as well as dynamatt IMO, having used both & Cascade. AP Zoutes
Also, as far as CAE is concerened, is it worth it to use the deflex disks? And if it is what size would you use behind 6 3/4" speakers the 7" disk or 9" disk
LSN2meBoom916
If you are mattign the entire car, i.e. interior panels AND outer skin there will be no use/benefit in using those disks. If it was "bare metal" behind the midwoofer, the disk would do the same thing/serve the same funct as the dynamatt. pick one and go w/ it. Both would be overkill/not needed, unless you just want overkill..I've done my fair share of that. AP Zoutes
well, I just ordered it (didn't get the response until just after I placed order). A little overkill on the front doors never hurt Edited February 17, 2007 by AP Zoutes
Guest MegaloManiac
the tempreture isnt as up to the standards as up to second skin Damplifier on that fatmat stuff., noticed i said damplifier and not damplifier pro. if u want take the time to read this, its a good read on deadeners, http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/ heres the direct link to the tempretur(sp) section http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/heat/
AP Zoutes
Well, Fatmat doesn't seem to do so well according to this review. I only bought 50 sq ft so I will only be doing the front doors for now. This reviewer suggest RAAMaudio stuff, have you used it? Also, how unbiased is this review?
