AUDIO BASSICS Posted February 18, 2007 Report Share Posted February 18, 2007 doing a routine install on a 2001 denali... took the factory radio out and installed a pioneer 5700 dvd player... used a metra 70-1858 wire harness and a 3002 dash kit... unit works fine for 5 mins then no audio everything on the deck works but no audio so i unplug the wire harness and plug the factory radio back in and i have audio... then i check the remote out on the deck and it has 12 volts but i looked on direct techs for the color of the amp turn on wire and they say it is a orange wire but the ornage wire in the factory harness is the constant wire... i have swapped with another 5700 and same problem???? does any one know the color of the amp turn on wire and does that wire need 12 volts or a diffferent voltage????? thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
iceman88 Posted February 18, 2007 Report Share Posted February 18, 2007 as much as i know on most pioneer HU's down here UK spec the remote turn-on wire is usally Blue, or Blue with white stripes, Or if your looking then u can also search somewhat for the ariel wire aswell which sends a signal when the HU is turned on.
