The enD Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 While listening to some radio I noticed noise in the signal. I unhooked the amp from the REM and there was no noise at all. The antenna is connected to the REM cable from my head unit but that seems not to be the problem. When I connect the REM of the amp to the power cable, to turn on the amp, the noise appear again. Maybe my antenna recieves distortion from the amp? Need some advice!
pokertramp Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 I think the remote wire from the head unit puts out a different feed and can't be used for an antenna. The other thing I think it can be is something to do with your RCA wires if they are too close to the power wire.
The enD Posted April 2, 2009 Author Report Posted April 2, 2009 I think the remote wire from the head unit puts out a different feed and can't be used for an antenna. My antenna need 12volts to run. So I connected it to the REM. It works very good until the amp is turned on. The other thing I think it can be is something to do with your RCA wires if they are too close to the power wire. We are not talking about noise while playing CDs. Radio noise
