AP Zoutes
This is kinda on topic here... If i "strap" two Kx1200.1 amps together do i get 1200x2 at 1ohm or 1200x2 at 2ohms? Matters on what ohm load the speakers are wired to. If your subs are wired to 2 ohms then you will have 2400 x1 at 2 ohms. but each amp will be 1200 @ 1. If i wire my subs at 1ohm with 2 KX1200.1 "strapped" together what will my final watts/ohms be per amp? Will i be pushing each amp down to .5 ohms? Do you understand where I'm coming from? I trying to figure out a better way of asking this... What happens when you strap amps together? Do you add everything by the number of amps? For instance: 1 KX1200.1 = 1200@1ohm 2 KX1200.1 = 2400@1ohm or 2400@2ohm 3 KX1200.1 = 3600@1ohm or 3600@3ohm or 3600@4ohm Too answer my own questions, I think i should learn more about ohms, LOL! - Bob
babyjoker
yes, if the subs are wired at 1 ohm the strapped amps will see .5 ohms each. if one puts out 1200 at 1 ohm, then two would do 2600 ot 2 ohms\ strapped Quote 1999 Eclipse N/T 12'' Fi BTL Gp3000d PM D3100
