MickyMcD
That looks very similar to a Re/Sponse amplifier, a common brand of amplifier sold by electronics distribution chain Jaycar. The model before this was a Zenon board, and I have doubts about this model being a Zenon due to massive figure changes. A rep from Jaycar mentioned something about a Ghangzhou company building them, wouldn't surprise me... kingsuv
I can't really say who the board is without opening one up. Even then there are plenty of build houses who share same board technologies. Even then, just because someone uses the same board design doesn't mean their the same amp. Same goes for the heatsinks. Just because a company ( like Zenon ) uses a heatsink, it doesn't mean they make it. Most if not all have heatsink stock made from a third party house. It's funny to see people think they know where something is made. I can say there is at least 4 well known buildhouses that would and could build that amp. Another thing that makes me chuckle is when they say something is crap from one country to the next. I think a good chunk of brand nut huggers would be shocked at where their amps are actually made. Doesn't matter where an amp is made these days, it's the quality you require your build house to build by. I'm sure I speak for every builder who has production overseas when I say We would love to have our amps made here, however you ( the customer ) are too cheap to pay for it. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.

Bill Oh no, I did not mean to criticise said build houses at all. All I meant was that the figures do not look like current (or my version of current, little outdated) Zenon board specs, and it would not surprise me if Re/Sponse used a Ghangzhou build house as that would be the most logical choice for a company such as themselves. A lot of the products I use are made in Ghangzhou build houses. Doesn't bother me as long as the product quality is as high as I need it.
